About the Issuer

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA), incorporated in 1987, is a Government of India enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). The company is a notified Public Financial Institution and is registered with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as a Non-Banking Financial Company–Infrastructure Finance Company (NBFC-IFC), providing financial assistance for renewable energy and energy efficiency projects across India. IREDA is majority owned by the Government of India and operates under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. The company's board comprises executive directors, government nominees from the MNRE, and independent directors, reflecting strong institutional oversight. IREDA benefits from its strategic role in financing India's renewable energy sector, strong sovereign ownership, and Navratna status conferred by the Government of India in 2024.
